Zilocar Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

Account: The user profile automatically created when you purchase a one-off report pack or a trial subscription.

Dashboard: The area connected to your Account where you can view all purchased reports, manage your subscription and billing, cancel the subscription, etc.

Trial Subscription or Trial: An initial 3-day period for $5, including exactly one full vehicle history report.

Subscription: The recurring service following trial, unless cancelled; includes access to vehicle history reports under fair-use limits.

Fair Use Limit: The usage cap of 100 reports per calendar year, with a sub-cap of 10 reports per month, for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Account Creation & Access

When you purchase a one-off report pack or a trial subscription, an Account is automatically created for you.

Upon purchase, you will be logged into your Dashboard, where you can view all reports you have purchased, manage your subscription and billing, upgrade during trial, and cancel if desired.

3. Trial & Subscription Terms

Trial: A 3-day trial costs $5 and includes exactly one report.

Conversion: Unless you cancel via your Dashboard → Billing before the trial ends, your trial will convert automatically into a subscription.

Subscription Cost: $99 per month is the standard recurring rate. An annual plan (if available) may be offered under terms shown on the site.

4. Usage Limits / Fair Use Policy

"Unlimited reports" means up to 100 reports per calendar year, with a hard cap of 10 reports per month, for personal, non-commercial use.

Accounts used for bulk or commercial purposes, or exceeding fair use limits, may be suspended, restricted, or terminated at our discretion.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your Trial or Subscription at any time via your Dashboard → Billing.

Cancel before the end of the 3-day Trial to avoid the subscription charge.

If you cancel after the Trial ends, you will not receive a refund for past charges except as specified in Section 6.

6. Refunds

Valid refund reasons include:

  1. Receiving a completely empty report.
  2. Being charged more than once for the same report.
  3. Subscription charge made within 24 hours, provided you have not checked any VINs.

Invalid refund reasons include:

  • Minor inaccuracies or omissions in data.
  • Delay of report delivery (unless report never arrives).
  • Failure to cancel before trial end or before renewal date.
  • Dissatisfaction outside valid refund conditions.

To request a refund, contact Support via the refund form or email at [email protected].

Include:

  • Account email
  • Date/time of purchase
  • Payment method (last 4 digits)
  • VIN (if applicable)
  • Reason for request

7. Data Accuracy, Disclaimers & Sources

Reports are for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that all information will be accurate, complete, or up-to-date.

Data sources include:

  • NMVTIS
  • State DMVs/title agencies
  • Salvage/auction/insurance records
  • Proprietary and third-party databases

Because many events or records depend on third-party reporting, some information may not appear.

Disclaimer of Warranties: To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZiloCar provides the services "AS IS" and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

Maximum Liability: To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of or relating to the Services, the trial, or the subscription (whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or other legal theory) shall be limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including without limitation lost profits, data loss, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

"Unlimited reports" are subject to fair use limits:

  • Up to 100 reports per calendar year
  • No more than 10 reports per month

Accounts exceeding these limits, or used for commercial or bulk queries, may be suspended, limited, or terminated at our discretion.

9. Intellectual Property & Use of Reports

All reports, content, logos, trademarks, and materials on the website are owned by or licensed to Zilocar.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use reports for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Reproduction, resale, or misuse of any part of the reports is prohibited.

10. Modifications to Terms, Services, Pricing

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services (including features, availability, or pricing) at any time.

If changes are material (pricing, usage limits, etc.), we will post revised Terms on the website and may send you an email notification. Continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.

Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in courts located in the United States.

13. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Your use of the Services is subject to the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

These Terms, together with policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zilocar regarding the Services.
